These Massive Ocean Cleaning Machines will cleanup the Ocean in style
Located between Hawaii and California is the largest accumulation of plastic waste in the ocean commonly known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which covers over 1.6 million square kilometers or 620,000 square miles that’s roughly equivalent to the size of the entire country of Mexico or three times the size of France, and If it were a country, it would rank as the 16th largest in the world. This colossal accumulation is primarily formed from a collection of plastic and floating trash originating from the Pacific Rim, including countries in Asia, North America, and South America. With an estimated 1.15 to 2.41 million tonnes of plastic entering the ocean annually from rivers, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch is expected to continue growing, potentially becoming a continent of plastic waste. However, its growth is soon going to be limited with the introduction of ground-breaking technologies designed to remove and stop much of this waste from entering the oceans. From high-tech barriers equipped with solar-powered mechanics to track and clean up rivers that pour their water into oceans to advanced electric robots designed to collect floating waste and oil from the surface of various water bodies, Here is a look at how some of these revolutionary ocean-cleaning technologies work.

Designed for operation on unprepared runways, STOL aircraft are conventional fixed-wing planes that require short runway lengths for both take-off and landing. I live in southern Oregon. Back in 2018 we had a bad wildfire season. Air quality steadily diminished over a three week period and several residents in our county passed away from respiratory issues. One day I heard a jet aircraft flying low and went outside in time to see an Il-76 tanker flying maybe 2000 ft overhead. Man those things are loud! Then it flew over again 20 minutes later and a third time after that. I heard that they were trying to get properly lined up with the spotter plane to make the drop. In any case, they did what they do, and the next day the smoke was 50% better, and within a week the fires were contained and the air was clear again.

@Mostop - Nice video but FYI you are incorrectly pronouncing FAR Part 103. FAR is the abbreviation of _Federal Aviation Regulation_ and is pronounced F A R, not the word far. The 103 in Part 103 is pronounced 1 0 3, not one hundred and three. Since you're referring to US regulations/requirements you should use the standard American English pronunciation. Regards from Thailand!😁

"According to the FAA, the number of lithium-ion battery fires on airplanes has increased by more than 42% in the last five years, with an average of more than one incident per week in 2023. These batteries can overheat and cause smoke, fire, or extreme heat, even in small numbers. FAA tests show that these fires can't be prevented by traditional fire suppression systems and the gases they emit can cause explosions." So you can piss off if you think I'm getting on a plane with hundreds of pounds of lipo batteries powering that thing....
